Jackson is getting ready for his first Christmas. I had fun taking pictures of him for our holiday card. I was hoping to get a good one of both he and Riley together…it was pretty much impossible to wrangle the two of them while I was home alone, maybe next year it will be easier.

Jackson is doing great, it is hard to believe 6 months have flown by so fast. He is now 16lbs 3 oz and his first tooth is coming in.
He has been eating solid foods for a while now and really loves sweet potatoes and pears. He has also tried acorn squash, bananas and peas. I have been making all of his food which has been fun. This week he will be trying avocado and also some carrots.
He is getting stronger every day and he is able to sit unassisted for a couple of minutes at a time. He also really likes to jump when you hold him standing up.
It has been a great six months, there have been a few tough days but overall they have been wonderful. It is so rewarding when I go get him from his crib in the morning and he smiles when he sees me.

Hopefully we will be able to get some good pictures of Jackson in his Halloween costume! I know I said he was going to be a lion cub, but then I found a penguin costume and fell in love…check back next week for some pictures!

We took Jackson on his first apple-picking trip last weekend, I will post some pictures soon. It was a really nice day, warm and sunny, and I think he enjoyed spending the day outside.
He also found his feet about two weeks ago and has more recently started putting them in his mouth. I have yet to get a good picture of it, but I will keep trying…it is so cute!

Jackson had his first haircut on Saturday…he was starting to have a mullet so we trimed his hair in the back. He looks really cute! He also started eating baby oatmeal on Sunday. He has it once a day and he is really starting to like it, he waits for the spoon with his little mouth open, what a piggy!
